The Intellectual Property Facilitation Center (IPFC) at the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme), Hyderabad, is a dedicated resource center established to assist MSMEs, startups, entrepreneurs, academic institutions, and innovators in leveraging the value of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).

With the primary objective of strengthening the IP ecosystem in India, the IPFC at ni-msme provides end-to-end support for patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, and geographical indications. The center aims to promote awareness, build capacity, and facilitate protection and commercialization of innovations among MSMEs

Key Services Offered :

• IP Awareness & Capacity Building : Organizing workshops, seminars, training programs, and webinars on IPR for MSMEs, startups, students, and faculty.

• IPR Consultancy : Guidance on patentability assessment, prior art search, filing strategies, trademark protection, and design registrations.

• Filing Support : End-to-end assistance in drafting and filing of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and design applications with Indian IP offices.

• Commercialization & Monetization : Advising on IP valuation, technology transfer, licensing, and strategies to generate revenue from IP assets.

The IPFC operates under the guidance of experienced professionals, registered patent and trademark agents, and domain experts. It serves as a bridge between innovation and market realization by empowering MSMEs to protect and capitalize on their creative and innovative work.

Reimbursement for registration of Patent, Trademark, Geographical Indications (G.I.), Design: The maximum financial assistance to the eligible applicants under the IPR component is as follows:
