Our Faculty

Dr. Manisha Kumari is serving as Faculty Member at the National Institute for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme), Hyderabad, from May 2026, and is presently holding the additional charge of Finance Officer. Prior to this, she served as Associate Faculty Member at ni-msme from November 2024 to April 2026 and additionally held the charge of Chief Administrative Officer from August 2025 to May 2026, contributing significantly to institutional administration, governance, finance, and policy coordination.
She holds a Ph.D. in Management (Finance) from the University of Hyderabad, an Institution of Eminence, with specialization in Financial Analytics, Econometrics, ESG, Credit Ratings, Sustainable Finance, Corporate Finance, and Financial Markets.
Dr. Manisha Kumari possesses a blend of academic, research, training, administrative, and corporate exposure. Her teaching and training experience spans areas such as Financial Management, Sustainable Finance, ESG, Entrepreneurship Development, Governance & Compliance, Research Methodology, Public Policy, MSME Finance, and Institutional Management. At ni-msme, she has designed and delivered Entrepreneurship and Management Development Programmes, executive development programmes, sponsored training programmes, and international capacity-building initiatives for government officials, entrepreneurs, academicians, and industry professionals.
She has successfully organized and conducted several high-level programmes and workshops for senior government officials, including officers from the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Engineering Service, focusing on governance, financial management, public administration, policy implementation, and institutional strengthening. She has also contributed to programmes related to entrepreneurship promotion, women empowerment, governance reforms, digital skills, and sustainable development.
As a researcher and academician, Dr. Manisha Kumari has published scholarly papers in reputed international journals indexed in Scopus (Q1 & Q2), Web of Science, and ABDC-ranked journals. Her research areas include Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ESG, Sustainable Finance, IFRS Adoption, Credit Rating, Financial Inclusion, and MSME Financing. Her research work bridges rigorous academic inquiry with practical policy relevance and contributes to contemporary discourse in sustainable development and financial systems.
She has served as Programme Director and Convener for national conferences and executive programmes, including the National Conference on “Navigating the Future with ESG 2.0 – Advancing Green Finance: Driving Innovation and Transforming Investments for a Sustainable Economy,” which brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, financial institutions, and sustainability practitioners.
Dr. Manisha Kumari also has exposure to corporate and industry-oriented training, financial analysis, policy research, and consultancy-related activities. Her interdisciplinary expertise enables her to integrate academic knowledge with practical insights in the areas of governance, entrepreneurship, finance, sustainability, and MSME development. She has guided doctoral research scholars and actively contributes to institutional capacity building, policy discussions, and research mentoring.
With a unique combination of academic excellence, administrative leadership, research expertise, training proficiency, and policy engagement, Dr. Manisha Kumari continues to contribute towards strengthening entrepreneurship, MSME ecosystems, sustainable finance, governance reforms, and institutional development in India.
