ni-msme Organises State-Level Workshop on Strategy for Development of MSME Clusters
The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme), Hyderabad, organised a State-Level Workshop on Strategy for Development of MSME Clusters, bringing together government officials, financial institutions, development agencies, experts and MSME cluster representatives to deliberate on strengthening cluster-based development.
Shri C. S. S. Rao, Director, MSME DFO, Hyderabad, addressed the participants and provided detailed insights into the MSE-CDP scheme, its benefits and implementation process. clusters. Earlier Shri. Shri Madhukar Babu, Joint Director, Department of Industries, Telangana, highlighted various initiatives being undertaken by the Telangana Government to promote and strengthen MSME. Shri Murali Krishna, Lead Bank Manager, SBI, explained the banking perspective on accessing finance and grants and emphasised the importance of preparing a strong and bankable DPR. Mohammad Zaidi, Team Lead SPIU Telangana, shared his national-level experience and discussed key challenges involved in the formation and implementation of clusters
Shri Yashwanth Sai, Assistant Manager, RBI, discussed challenges faced by existing clusters and suggested practical solutions, while Shri Nadhin Raj, Assistant Manager, NABARD, briefed participants on three NABARD schemes supporting small clusters and shared practical experiences and success stories.
Ms. Deepa Jain, Chief General Manager, NABARD, interacted with cluster representatives, addressed their concerns, guided them on preparing bankable DPRs and explained NABARD’s newly introduced repayable grant mechanism. Shri Jagan, Executive, NFDB, explained various Central and State Government schemes, particularly the benefits available under PMMSY.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri K. Surya Prakash Goud, reaffirming the importance of coordinated efforts for sustainable and competitive MSME cluster development
