ni-msme organises Two-Day Vendor Development Programme on Railway Supply Chain Management under Telangana RAMP during 28–29 July 2026
National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme), under the Telangana RAMP Project, successfully organised a two-day Vendor Development Programme (VDP) on Railway Supply Chain during July 28–29, 2026, to create awareness among MSMEs about procurement opportunities in the Indian Railways.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Srinivas Naik, Additional Director, Department of Industries, Government of Telangana, in the presence of Shri Madhukar Babu, Joint Director, Department of Industries, and Shri K. Surya Prakash Goud, Director, School of Enterprise Development, ni-msme.
Shri K. Surya Prakash Goud highlighted ni-msme's role in entrepreneurship development, schemes related to MSMEs and the implementation of the RAMP Telangana Project by ni-msme. Shri Madhukar Babu explained the collaborative role RAMP implementing agencies and how they are strengthening the MSME ecosystem.
In his inaugural address, Shri Srinivas Naik emphasised that the programme would help Telangana MSMEs to grab the opportunities in the Indian Railways and foster new business collaborations.
The technical session featured Shri Anand Chekkilla, IRSS, who delivered an expert talk on railway procurement procedures, vendor registration, tendering processes, quality standards, and business opportunities for MSMEs. He also interacted with each and every query posed by the participant.
A major attraction was the 40-stall exhibition, where MSMEs showcased innovative products and technologies for the railway sector, creating valuable networking and business opportunities. The programme concluded with active participation from MSMEs, industry stakeholders, and government officials, successfully enhancing awareness and promoting integration of Telangana MSMEs into the Indian Railways supply chain.
